I wear a back brace, and it's as waist restricting as a corset. I think it doesn't hurt very much (I mean, in my case it hurts because there is foam for my scoliosis, but if the foam wasn't there it wouldn't be that bad). I know that it's not the same but it's similar in experience. I'd say it hurts maybe a little bit, but it's bearable. I think it hurts particularly where the couture from the shirt underneath is. I'd say it is rather uncomfortable because you can't really move your upper body, or bend down. I personally don't think it's that hard to breathe in them. Although, you can't eat too much because then it'll get really tight. Overall, it's uncomfortable, but not that painful.
